So next Thursday is Halloween and although Koreans do not celebrate Halloween we have been decorating and doing Halloween activities.
For the elementary aged students we have been printing out ABC coloring sheets and vocabulary worksheets all month to get them in the Halloween spirit. We use Boggle’s World for most of our print outs.
The kids are really getting into it. On Friday we had the students make masks using these links.
You can print these out and have your students make their own masks for Halloween. They work for elementary-high school, depends on your students’ creativity.
Aside from worksheets and masks, our students made pumpkins using orange tissue paper, stuffed with newspaper and a rubber band to put it all together. The same can be done for ghosts, just a smaller ball and with white tissue paper. Then the students draw or cut out face and body designs using construction paper and tape.
This Friday we turned the school into an arts and crafts playground. The kids loved it! Here are some pictures:
We are dressing up in costumes and trick or treating with the kids next week so stay tuned for more Halloween fun!
